i have heard on the grapevine(or rather my indipendent games dealer) that the reason why EA game are not online of the X-Box is because Microsoft will not allow them to moderate and run their own excusive servers. this is because EA intentends to shut down the online aspect of a game as soon as a replacement comes along.
so....if you like fifa 2004 or SSX (currant) next years game may have little inovation but you will have to buy it as when the new servers come on the old one will be switched off.
i wonder ehat the legal implication is of this, when a game is sold as 'online' is there not a required provison of service. such as when the usser amount drop below a certain amount???
