but i was thinking... how on earth would you make an online GTA work online.????

it would be a poor muliplayer shooting game.

maybe you can do come gang tasks... such as one driving and the other shooting.


But what i would really like to see online is TEKKEN.... just cause i can beat up all my freinds and i can beat the computer with ease.

I reckon a GTA online will be class! I was thinking it would be quite cool if you could choose between a normal bad ass mother, or the police. So if you're the filth you can go around shooting bad guys and banging them away. If you're a geeza and you get caught you get locked away for a few days can plan jail breaks or riots etc, and if you get shot you spend a few days in hospital eyeing up the nurses :wink: :lol:

they have an onlin RISK (the game of global domination) comming out 'online' for the ps2... which i guess is the closses thing at the moment. but that is a game i enyoyed and look forward to taking online. but only if it has 'coms', if it dose not i'm sure the game would be an empty experience.

i doubt that full games would be downloadable.

that would take a hell of a long time, i mean... and demo has about as much code in it as actual game.... (an uncompressed DVD full of it) and even that would take one hell of a long time. maybe when they are talking about downloadable games they are talking about whimseys..... Pacman, chess. stuff like that.


I hope that they hurry up the HDD release in this country..... i would like to check out the Final Fantasy online game, and i hear (i'm not sure so dont flame me if i'm wrong) that Socom 2 will be suportable through patches if you have the HDD unit.

some real nice things could be done with it (the HDD). i like the way that in HALO, when you reload all the deadbodys are still there, in the same place that you killed them. (man if you could do the in Grand Theft auto, i would be like a ten foot pile of bodys across the whole city)

actually as i think about an online GTA..... i think that it might be posible if you had about 20-30 in each universe (City) all running erands, and in some cases running counter errands in race against each other.

say if there were 5diffrent gangs.... only about 4 players could be working for one gang at a time. 1 player from 1 gang could be dispatched to kill such and such a character.... another could be dipaced to protect same character. i guess something really good could be made of it.

Ive heard that the HDD realease in US was with FF as the game had key features that used the HDD. SOCOM 2 also supports it so we gotta be looking at early 2004 for us.

I hope that when u get the HDD Central Station software will be installed onto it so the PS2 boots into CS in the same way XBOX boots into the friends screen etc. I think a lot of people aint even been to CS and its a lot of hassle with that stupid CD!!

Ive heard rumours of what will be possible with the HDD. Things like patches, new outfits etc for games like SOCOM 2, downloading the latest games demos, renting movies that download and are only viewable once (I heard that but I dont know how it'd work from a software point of view. Leaves them open to easy copying I wouldve thought). Ive also heard that you'll be able to purchase whole games that download but I cant really see this till PS3 when HDDs are bigger and you can then burn them onto DVD, or that blue thingy or whatever wizz bang hardware Song put in it!! :D
