So how does the game format work?
Is it still best of 11 rounds, each one lasting 6 minutes? What happens if at the end of 6 minutes there are still people left (in suppression mode) is the round a draw like in s2 or is it worked out on points?
Keep up the comments boys, this is interesting!

The games still default to 11 rounds and 6 minute rounds, but as usual you can amend this when creating the room to whatever you like.
Suppression - team with the highest number of players wins, if the players are equal then its a tie.
Points - are the same I think, but I haven't really paid attention to it, I'll check it out next time I'm on.
New modes - Only played one of the new modes so far as I've been mostly playing respawn this week to try the guns out and get used to it, will be playing more normal rooms this week.
Control is an excellent new mode, where you have a number of points on the map where each team has to let of a flare, first team to get all the points wins.
Convoy - I've not played this mode yet.
32 Players - I have to say thye game engine and servers handle 32 players with ease - I think our initial doubts about "ahhh socom 2 could even handle 16 players so S3 won't handle 32" were unfounded. I think we could be looking at 16v16 competitive matches without any problems.

I dont like that at all, its pure shit. One of the things when people could show skill was being outnumbered and holding out for a draw or winning a 1v2 or 1v3 as the others are looking for you. Now if you are in a 1v3 you have to go looking for them, against a decent team they will split up and take a decent camping spot each :/

Have YOU tried hosting? The US upload speeds are a lot better than ours in the UK. That would be a vey good question to have answered.
